Andreas Mugge, born in 1975 in Hanau (a city near Frankfurt), developed his interest in music at the age of 3, mainly inspired by his father, who was a member of a well-known local Jazz band. For many years, he was always excited about the live concerts of his father - he began to play drums on cooking pots in the kitchen and soon his parents knew that music was to become his favorite thing.

Flash forward 15 years to events such as Mayday and Loveparade and Andreas was hooked to electronic music, selling all his instruments to buy synthesizers and the like. After some work in the studio his first hit “Boogiemonster” came out on Raummusik in 1997. Shortly after this Sven Vath took note of the emerging talent and signed him up on his booking agency Cocoon. After many successful releases on Raummusik through 2003 and more recently Resopal Schallware, today finds Andreas on the tail of his long-awaited album “EM.Pulse” which was released last October. This will be his first performance in Detroit.
